NEONATAL FLOOR AT YEKATIT HOSPITAL TO OPEN SEPTEMBER 3, 2011

A major milestone will have been achieved with the opening of a new modern neonatal (new borns) unit utilizing one whole floor of the new four-story medical facility being build next to the original Yekatit 12 Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. IFA is donating the equipment for this unit. This milestone represents the culmination of a four-year cooperative effort with the medical staff and administration of the hospital and several government departments as well as the donation of thousands of dollars of medical supplies and equipment. Donations are still needed for the equipping of the new unit. Anyone wishing to make a donation of money or equipment should contact IFA through its web site at www.ifundafrica.org.
