Ethiopian Ministry of Health
Provides Letters of Support to IFA

The Ministry of Health (MOH) of Ethiopia has fulfilled its promise to assist IFA by writing letters of support to U.S.-based medical institutions, Ethiopian Airlines, and other organizations endorsing IFA's programs and supporting our requests for special consideration and assistance. In particular, the Ministry of Health highlighted IFA's current and future endeavors to bring medical health professionals from countries such as the U.S. to Ethiopia, where they will teach and train Ethiopian doctors and nurses. The letters also detail IFA's medical contributions of life-saving neonatal equipment and rural medical care, stating that these efforts by IFA "are in line with the MOH's national objectives" to build a more advanced system of public healthcare in the country of Ethiopia.

These letters provide crucial governmental support to IFA allowing the organization to increase its healthcare services in Africa through effective and sustainable methods. Through the MOH's explicit endorsement of IFA's activities and its promise to provide financial and logistical assistance whenever possible, IFA will be able to bring greater numbers of highly qualified U.S. doctors to train medical professionals in Ethiopia.
